Why do I think we imprison ourselves growing up?

Growing up in the society we leave behind our true nature and adopt behaviors that assure us some kind of social status. After all the civilization and other science crap, we only fear other human, why? Because we have lost our true nature. Our lives are completely drawn by things and situations that should have noting to do with our true self.

I only mention to you two things:

1) Nothing real can be threatened and nothing unreal exists. Herein lies the peace of god. [Power of Now, Eckhart Tolle]

2) Can you look at a tree as if you were looking at it for the first time?

A close observation at above ideas brings us closer to understanding “how we are not free” “how we are conditioned” “how we are imprisoned”. Hope these words make sense to you.
