There are many souls seeking peace of mind. While understanding of true self is beyond the reaches of any technique whatsoever there is however a way to enter into mindfulness which could guide one towards the light.
From experience I can share that a transformation can take place in our mind when we shift from thinking to feeling. To divert our mind towards the awareness of our being in the present moment, all we need to do is ask ourselves – “How am I feeling at this very moment?”
“We must answer not,” says Eckhart Tolle, “just feeling it.”
This can be practiced instantly as you are reading these words.
Make sure that you are seated comfortably. Roll your shoulders backward letting your shoulders, chest, and belly relax. Feel the belly being loose.
Take a slow, deep, long breath (inhale) into your heart- feel it coming in through your finger tips and slowly moving into your heart.
Hold it for about 4 seconds then slowly breathe out (exhale). While you are exhaling feel that the breath moves from your heart to the crown as if there is a pipe.
Do it for 3 rounds. On the fourth round, during inhalation feel the belly rising, at the same time asking yourself – “How am I feeling at this very moment?”
A glimpse of ‘true joy’ and ‘mind being at peace’- it is always there within us, available to every one of us when we tune ourselves with it, just like a radio, you see! With practice of few times, all it will take you to feel being at peace and true inner joy is 3 seconds only.

*A note to my readers : This insight I have acquired during my meditation sessions at Sadhana Yoga Retreat in Pokhara, and this very practice allows me to tap the inner peace and joy at any given moment while I go through my daily chores. 3
